Sarah's Poems

Actually, they didn’t kill my father first

Keav
Beautiful, young, and exuberant
Can pick anyone she one she wants
Takeover
Wants to keep her safe
A teen work camp
Keav’s eyes well up with tears
My heart feels as if an animal has clawed it out
I will survive
Wonder if will ever see her again
A message from Keav
She is very sick
Her stomach now in great pain
She doubles over
Lets the poison run out of her
Let me go to the infirmary
Please come see me soon
We got there too late.
Keav’s last wish was not granted
To see Pa before she went

My poem (note that the shape of the poem is a person)

In the Good Ol’ Days

In the city
Everyone is busy
Busy with work
Busy with shopping
Busy with babies
But back then…
Swings, Slides, and Singing
Basketball nets are ringing
Kick soccer balls to scores
People pretending to do chores
Building lego structures together
Kids screaming at one another
Cheese and crackers for snack
Other kids like to attack
These were the days
That I would go out to play
House
With my friends
I’d always be a dog
My other friend a frog
Such a wonderful time
Kindergarten

Evil People

People are really bad sometimes
Like Pol Pot
He is the leader of the Angkar
He is the one responsible for all the miseries in a lot of people’s life.
He destroyed many people’s families
Also, like Hitler,
Made many people die for no reason
Some died because of treason
Most died because of religion
It was a stupid idea, like a pigeon
Robbers, Murderers, and Killers
“I am going to kill you ALL”
But somehow they always fall,
Good wins in the end,
But it’s always good to have a buff friend
