William's Poems

Jungfrau

Year after year, people come to praise her,
The solitary belle above the grassland

In the cool morning breeze
I rode on a train along the trails
Winding up into beautiful puffy white clouds
Sledging down the glacier with mist all around
I screamed silently, feeling the snow underneath

Inside the ice cave I beheld
Sculptures of seals, penguins, and eagles
Awaiting visitors with callous looks
I wondered how they had been frozen
Into amazing postures

Back in my warm chamber again,
I can’t help but ponder upon the journey
Forever Jungfrau stands up there
With her perfectly arched eyebrows
Watching the world pass by

Cherating Beach

Here at the tranquil coastline
Some seek for relaxation
Others enjoy the fun activities

Submerging in the silver, shimmering water
I beheld boats sailing
And people paddling canoes across the bay
All over the beach,
People enjoying the magical land of sea water

Once in a while, monkeys appear upon rooftops and grasslands
Their interesting postures and squeaking sounds
Grab the attention of nearby visitors

For five days,
I relaxed and ate delicious foods
From Western cakes to steaming bowls of Japanese noodles
I can have any food of my choice

In the evening,
People gathered in the auditorium
Prepared for the exciting show
